Four injured in head-on crash near Kössen

Four people, including two children, were slightly injured when two cars collided head-on on Kössener Straße in Kössen, Tyrol, on Friday afternoon, ORF reported. Police closed the road for about two hours.
The crash happened at around 3 p.m. on the road between Kössen and the Bavarian town of Schleching. One car came to rest across the road, while the other was thrown into a crash barrier before hitting a rock face.
A 38-year-old German man and his two children, aged 10 and 13, were travelling in the first car. The other vehicle was driven by a 20-year-old German woman. All four were taken to St Johann in Tirol Hospital.
Both vehicles were severely damaged and had to be towed away. Firefighters, police, emergency medical crews, the C4 rescue helicopter and a towing service attended the scene.
Police said the cause of the crash was initially unclear and an investigation was under way.
