Man seriously injured in haymaking accident in Sölden

A 55-year-old man was seriously injured during haymaking work in Sölden in the Ötztal valley on Friday afternoon, ORF reported. He was using a tractor to load hay on steep ground when the vehicle lost traction and overturned.

The Austrian man tried to jump from the tractor but became trapped by his left foot. His wife witnessed the accident and alerted emergency services. First responders quickly freed him.

Rescue workers and an emergency helicopter team treated him at the scene before taking him to Zams Hospital with serious lower-leg injuries.
