Police identify man found dead near Lenggries

Police have identified a 64-year-old Romanian national whose body was found in a parking area on Federal Highway 307 near Lenggries, BR reported. He had no registered residence in Bavaria, police said.

Investigators identified the man in cooperation with Romanian authorities by comparing his fingerprints and photographs with police databases.

He was found at about 1.25 a.m. on Sunday in a parking area on the B307 in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district of Upper Bavaria. A forensic medical examination found no indications of a violent death, according to police.

The circumstances remain unclear and the investigation is continuing. Police are seeking witnesses, particularly anyone who observed something on the B307 between Fall and the junction with the B13 during the night from Saturday to Sunday, up to about 1.25 a.m.
