Moped rider crashes into wall while waving to acquaintance

A 47-year-old moped rider was injured after losing control of his vehicle while waving to an acquaintance in Göfis, ORF reported.

The man was travelling towards the town centre on the L66 at about 7.35pm on Saturday when he overtook a group of cyclists. As he waved to someone in the group, he lost control of the moped.

The vehicle veered to the left and crashed into a wall. The rider fell and lay unconscious on the road. Emergency responders treated him at the scene before taking him to Feldkirch State Hospital.

Police said an alcohol test could not be carried out because of his injuries.
