Motorcyclist dies in collision with car in Wörgl

A 19-year-old Hungarian motorcyclist died in a collision with a car in Wörgl on Friday evening, ORF reported.

The motorcyclist was attempting to overtake the car as it turned left when the vehicles collided. He was thrown onto the road and came to rest several metres away. He suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.

The car was travelling along the B171 from Wörgl towards Kufstein at about 8 p.m. when the crash occurred at the intersection with Ferdinand-Exl-Straße. It was driven by a 61-year-old Austrian woman. Her 65-year-old husband and his 61-year-old sister were also in the car.

The three occupants were uninjured.
