FMZ Shopping Süd delays opening until spring 2027

The opening of the FMZ Shopping Süd retail park in Seiersberg has been postponed from autumn to March 2027, ORF reported. The Kovac Group said it plans to open the centre before Easter.

Construction is under way on the site of the former Hausmann wholesale store. The project received its building permit, but obtaining approval took longer than expected, said Heike Heinisser, the future centre manager.

Initial conversion work has begun and the first tenancy agreements have been signed. The Kovac Group has not disclosed the tenants, citing confidentiality agreements.

The centre is planned to have about 5,300 square metres of retail space and seven to eight shops.
