80-year-old cyclist injured in turning collision in Tyrol

An 80-year-old cyclist was injured after being hit by a car driven by another 80-year-old man in Hopfgarten im Brixental, a town in Kitzbühel district, on Sunday, tirol.ORF.at reported. He was taken to hospital.

The car driver was travelling on a municipal road in the town shortly before noon when he overtook two cyclists, according to police. He then immediately turned right and collided with one of them, an 80-year-old local man.

The cyclist fell and suffered injuries to his face and left hip. After receiving first aid, he was taken by ambulance to Kufstein Hospital. The car driver and the second cyclist were uninjured.
