Aggressive passenger prompts multiple police patrols after crash

Several police patrols were called to a crash in Redlham in the Vöcklabruck district on Saturday evening after a passenger became aggressive during the investigation, ORF reported. Two cars collided after one driver apparently swerved to avoid a deer.

At about 8.15pm, a 30-year-old man from the Vöcklabruck district was driving on the B1 from Schwanenstadt towards Attnang-Puchheim. A 31-year-old man from the Gmunden district was in the passenger seat. Their car collided in Redlham with a car driven by a 66-year-old man from the Vöcklabruck district. His 53-year-old wife was in the passenger seat.

The 30-year-old driver apparently swerved to avoid a deer approaching from the left, causing his car to skid into the oncoming vehicle. He suffered serious injuries and was taken to Salzkammergut Klinikum Vöcklabruck. An alcohol test was not possible because of his injuries. The Wels public prosecutor’s office therefore ordered the blood values taken at the hospital to be secured.

The 31-year-old passenger behaved aggressively during the crash investigation, prompting officers to request several police patrols.
