Switzerland’s government will provide more than 70 million francs in the short term to help forests adapt to climate change and support agricultural businesses affected by heat and drought, SRF reported.
The measures respond to what Environment Minister Albert Rösti described as an “exceptionally dry summer”. The government is also preparing further steps to address the consequences of heat and drought in Switzerland.
