17-year-old driver crashes with 1.72 per mille alcohol level

A 17-year-old driver overturned his car on the Kremstalstraße B139 in the Linz-Land district shortly after 11 p.m. on Friday, ORF reported. Police measured an alcohol level of 1.72 per mille.
The teenager was driving between Kematen an der Krems and Neuhofen an der Krems when he lost control in a bend. The car hit a guardrail, overturned and came to rest on its roof in the opposite lane.
Emergency crews began treating the injured driver before police arrived. The newly licensed driver had to hand over his licence and was taken to the UKH hospital in Linz.
