Car driver turn leaves motorcyclist critically injured near Gallizien

A 67-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured in a collision with a car at a junction near Gallizien on Sunday, ORF reported. He was flown by the C11 rescue helicopter to Klagenfurt Hospital.
The accident happened at about 12.35 p.m. A 34-year-old man was driving towards Gallizien on Möchlinger Straße, designated L118, while the motorcyclist was travelling from Gallizien towards Grafenstein on Grafensteiner Straße, designated L107.
At the junction, the car driver turned towards Gallizien. The car then collided with the motorcycle for reasons that remain unclear, throwing the motorcyclist from his vehicle.
After receiving emergency medical treatment at the scene, the 67-year-old was taken to hospital with critical injuries. The junction was closed while the accident was being investigated.
