Firefighters contain forest fire between Unterpullendorf and Steinberg

A forest fire between Unterpullendorf and Steinberg in the Oberpullendorf district was brought under control on Sunday afternoon, ORF reported. The blaze affected about two hectares of woodland.

Twelve fire brigades deployed 26 vehicles to tackle the fire. Extensive follow-up extinguishing work was still required, firefighters said.

The cause of the fire was not yet known. Emergency medical services were also present as a precaution, but no one was injured.
