Motorists warn driver before car burns out on A11

A car caught fire while travelling on the A11 in Carinthia shortly after midnight on Saturday and was almost completely destroyed. No one was injured, ORF reported.

The incident happened at about 12.15 a.m. between Villach and the Karawanken Tunnel, which leads to the Slovenian border. Other drivers alerted the 68-year-old Slovenian driver to the fire, allowing him to stop before entering the tunnel.

Volunteer firefighters responded quickly and extinguished the blaze. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
