The S7 train service between Graz and Köflach resumed on Saturday after a months-long closure, ORF reports. The regular timetable takes effect on Sunday.

The line between Lieboch and Köflach had been closed since mid-July while work was carried out to electrify and modernise it. Replacement buses operated instead of trains. The first train to Köflach set off at 5.15pm on Saturday.

Regional bus connections in the Voitsberg area are also due to return to their regular schedules on Sunday. Graz-Köflach-Bahn has published timetable details on its website, while the BusBahnBim app and the Scotty route planner are expected to be updated by Sunday at the latest.

Train services on the Styrian West Railway line are expected to run for about three months before another full closure, planned from 7 January to 19 September 2027.
