Andritz wins contract to equip Bhutan hydropower plant

Andritz has won a contract to supply four turbine-generator units for the 600-megawatt Khorlochhu hydropower plant in Bhutan, ORF reported.

The contract is worth an amount in the upper double-digit millions of euros, the listed technology group said on Thursday. It covers the units’ design, manufacture and installation, as well as testing and commissioning.

The plant is expected to generate around 2.524 terawatt-hours of electricity a year.
