Motorcyclist revived after collision in Krumpendorf

A 75-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car in Krumpendorf on Saturday and had to be resuscitated, ORF reported. He was later taken to Klinikum Klagenfurt hospital.

The motorcyclist was travelling from Pörtschach towards Klagenfurt on the B83 at around 11.15am when a 58-year-old driver approached the intersection with Berthastraße from the south, heading north. The vehicles collided for reasons that remain unclear.

The motorcyclist fell and suffered serious injuries. A rescue crew that happened to be passing began resuscitation before the emergency doctor arrived. He was successfully revived and taken to hospital.

The Krumpendorf volunteer fire brigade attended with two vehicles and 15 personnel to absorb fluids that had leaked from the vehicles.
