Digidoo reaches more than 10,000 teachers

More than 10,000 teachers are using Digidoo, software launched a year ago by the Graz start-up, ORF reported. The platform contains data on 150,000 pupils to document their skills and learning progress.

Digidoo chief executive Moritz Hiebl said the company had seen an urgent demand, especially during the teacher shortage, for digital tools that genuinely reduce teachers’ workload in their daily work.

The company plans to focus more on individual support for children. During the school year now beginning, the platform is expected to enable teachers to document which child received support, in which area and through which measure.

This will add another area to the existing documentation of competencies and performance.

According to Digidoo, 5,000 teachers each in Germany and Austria are already using the Graz company’s software. It has also gained its first customers in Switzerland.

The platform is being developed further in cooperation with teachers. A new notes function allows observations and learning progress to be recorded during lessons.

“Our goal is to make documentation as quick and straightforward as possible. With the new tool, there is more time for what really matters: teaching,” Hiebl said.
