Man and grandson collide with cow on Mieders toboggan run
A 65-year-old man collided with a cow while riding down the Mieders summer toboggan run in the Innsbruck-Land district with his four-year-old grandson, ORF reported. The man suffered injuries of unspecified severity, while the child was unharmed.
The accident happened shortly after 4 p.m. on Saturday when the cow was suddenly standing on the track. Despite his injuries, the grandfather continued to the bottom station with his grandson.
An emergency doctor and rescue workers treated them there before taking both to a clinic in Innsbruck for further assessment.
Police said on Monday morning that it was still unclear how the collision happened and whether the cow was also injured.
