A 10-year-old boy was injured after being struck by a car while riding an e-scooter in Rankweil on Saturday morning, ORF reported. The driver continued without stopping.
Police said the boy was travelling towards the town centre from Sulz at about 10.20 a.m. when an unidentified driver turned left into Ringstraße. The car appears to have cut the corner and struck the boy just after a pedestrian crossing.
The boy did not fall, but suffered unspecified injuries to his right knee. He was taken to Feldkirch State Hospital for treatment.
The crash happened at the junction of Ringstraße and Schleife. Police are looking for a brown-grey car with a Feldkirch district licence plate. The driver is described as an older man with grey hair and glasses.
The driver and any witnesses are asked to contact Rankweil police on 059 133 8158.
