E-bike rider injured after colliding with car in Hall

ORF reported that a 51-year-old e-bike rider was injured in a collision with a car in Hall on Wednesday.

The cyclist was travelling towards Innsbruck on the side road of the B171 when he collided near Behaimstraße with a car driven by a 39-year-old man as it was pulling out.

The impact threw the cyclist onto the car’s bonnet, and his head struck the windscreen. He was not wearing a helmet and suffered injuries of unspecified severity, police said.

Emergency services took him to a hospital in Innsbruck. Firefighters also attended the crash, which happened at about 12.45pm. Both people involved were Austrian nationals.
