Vorarlberg motorhome dealer files for insolvency again

Anaya Reisemobile GmbH, a motorhome and caravan dealer and rental company in Röthis, has become insolvent again after a failed restructuring process, ORF reported. The Feldkirch Regional Court opened bankruptcy proceedings on Monday. The company owes about 1.2 million euros, according to the creditors’ protection association KSV1870, and five employees are affected.

The company, based at Interpark Focus in Röthis, filed the bankruptcy application itself. KSV1870 said a decision on whether operations can continue must be made shortly.

Restructuring plan not fulfilled

This is the company’s second insolvency within two years. Restructuring proceedings without self administration were opened in November 2024, when liabilities amounted to about 5 million euros.

The company said demand for buying and renting motorhomes had collapsed in 2023 after rising sharply during and immediately after the Covid 19 pandemic. It was left with an unusually large inventory, while rising interest rates further worsened its financial situation.

The proceedings were formally closed in April 2025 after creditors approved a restructuring plan with a 20 percent quota. The company was able to pay the five percent cash quota and two instalments of 3.75 percent each from its ongoing operations. It could no longer pay the third 3.75 percent instalment, which was due on September 13, 2026. The company therefore became insolvent again.

Creditors have until October 27

Creditors can register their claims until October 27, 2026. Creditors from the previous proceedings can also register their claims again under the reopening provision.

The examination and reporting hearing is scheduled for November 9 at the Feldkirch Regional Court.
