Motorcyclist seriously injured after crashing down embankment in Styria

A 65-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured after leaving the road, hitting a crash barrier and falling down an embankment into the Mürz riverbed in Mürzsteg, the ORF reported.

The accident happened at about 11.30 a.m. on Saturday as the man was travelling towards Neuberg an der Mürz on the B23. In a right-hand bend in the Mürzsteg district, he crossed onto the left side of the road and struck the barrier.

Passers-by noticed the crash, provided first aid and alerted emergency services. The man was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
