The A5 motorway will be closed toward Vienna near Wilfersdorf in the Mistelbach district from 5 p.m. to midnight on Saturday for an emergency services exercise, ORF reported. Traffic will be diverted via the Wilfersdorf interchange.
Firefighters, rescue services, police and ASFINAG will take part in the exercise. They will practise rescuing people, recovering vehicles and coordinating their response to an emergency.
On the A1, traffic arrangements in the roadworks between Haag and St. Valentin, both in the Amstetten district, have changed since Friday. The Haag exit toward Salzburg has reopened, while the St. Valentin exit toward Salzburg is closed.
The Haag entrance toward Salzburg will remain closed longer than originally planned. ASFINAG said additional quality checks on a section of newly built concrete carriageway had been brought forward. Work in the area is scheduled to finish on December 4.
