Police arrest man after ladder break-in attempt in Vienna
A 32-year-old man was arrested after allegedly climbing a ladder to break into an apartment in Vienna’s Favoriten area, ORF reported.
A resident saw him climbing onto the balcony at about 12.30am on Saturday. After noticing a beam of light in the apartment’s windows, she called police.
Officers surrounded the building and entered through a patio door that had already been smashed. They found the suspect inside and arrested him. Police said they found a hammer, two screwdrivers and a pair of gloves on him.
The Austrian man remains in police custody. His questioning is still pending.
