SCR Altach recorded turnover of about 12.8 million euros in the 2025/26 season, a club record, but ended the year with a loss of 264,285 euros as sponsorship income fell, ORF reported.
The Austrian Bundesliga football club announced the figures at its annual general meeting on Tuesday. It also reported positive equity of 2.86 million euros.
Managing director Christoph Längle said the economic downturn had affected both football and the club, with some sponsors reducing their support. He said income from commercial activities had risen in recent years, highlighting additional revenue from the club’s Business Club and SCRA Gesundheitswelt, which began operating around a year and six months ago, respectively.
President Peter Pfanner said the club needed to pull together more closely in the challenging economic climate. He described the 2025/26 season as positive, particularly because Altach reached the UNIQA ÖFB Cup final for the first time in its history.
The 2.2 million euro transfer of Mohamed Ouedraogo to Olympique Lyon will be included in the next budget. Altach will not retain the full amount, as it must also pay training compensation and shares to the clubs, player and manager involved.
For the 2026/27 season, Altach expects to receive several hundred thousand euros less from television rights. The club said the new Bundesliga contract generated significantly less revenue for the league than the previous one.
Altach plans to rely more on transfer income in future. Längle said the club’s main opportunity was to develop players, coaches and other people, and to establish itself as a development club.
