Police warn after nails found in Linz Halloween sweets
Police in Linz are investigating after a father found nails hidden in his children’s Halloween sweets, ORF reported. They warned people not to eat sweets collected in Linz.
The 28-year-old discovered the nails on Sunday evening while checking sweets his children had collected on Saturday in Oed, a Linz neighbourhood. Police said the affected items included chocolate bars and chewy sweets. Nails about one centimetre long had been pushed deep inside some of them and were not always visible from the outside.
No injuries have been reported so far. Police are investigating who tampered with the sweets, but their source is not yet known. They urged people to check carefully any Halloween sweets collected in Oed before eating them.
