Unlicensed 18-year-old refuses drug impairment examination

Police stopped an unlicensed 18-year-old driver in Glaubendorf, in Hollabrunn district, on Thursday. He refused a clinical examination after officers suspected he was impaired by drugs, ORF reported.

During a traffic and vehicle check at about 6.30 p.m., officers found tears in the right front tyre and a crack in the windscreen in the driver’s field of vision. They temporarily removed the number plates because the vehicle was not considered safe to drive or operate.

The driver, who is from Tulln district, will be reported to the district administrative authority.
