Salzburg freight forwarder enters insolvency proceedings

The Bergheim-based freight forwarder GB Transportgesellschaft has entered insolvency proceedings, with debts of about 1.7 million euros, ORF reported. The Salzburg Regional Court has opened restructuring proceedings without debtor self-administration.

The company lost a major customer, and its restructuring efforts were not enough to avert insolvency, according to the report. Forty-one creditors are affected and have filed claims totalling 1.7 million euros.

The freight forwarder says it intends to continue operating.
