A 23-year-old was measured driving at 187 km/h on the A9 motorway near Spital am Pyhrn on Thursday evening, despite having no valid driving licence, ORF reported.

A police patrol clocked the driver, from the Leoben district, during laser speed checks near the Bosruck Tunnel at about 9.50 p.m. He was travelling towards Voralpenkreuz before officers stopped him.

The man told police his driving licence had already been revoked. Police had not provided further details about possible charges or other measures.
