Former Zurich SVP lawmaker Hans Egloff dies unexpectedly at 66

Hans Egloff, a former Zurich member of the Swiss National Council and long-time president of the Swiss Homeowners’ Association (HEV), has died unexpectedly at 66, SRF reported.
The HEV said Egloff had championed private property for more than three decades in various roles and called him a prominent voice.
Egloff was a primary school teacher before studying law and working as a lawyer. He served in Zurich’s cantonal parliament from 1995 to 2011, then in the National Council from 2011 to 2019.
