The operators of Innsbruck’s Hard Rock Cafe are insolvent again, ORF reported on Monday, with debts of 600,000 euros. They can no longer pay instalments under a restructuring plan agreed after an insolvency in 2025.

The operators said revenue from July to September was about 20 per cent below the same period last year. They attributed the decline mainly to a prolonged spell of hot weather and more cautious consumer spending because of rising prices.

The insolvency affects 31 employees, Klaus Schaller, head of the Innsbruck office of KSV1870, said. He expects the business to close soon after insolvency proceedings formally open.

The cafe was already over-indebted in 2025. Proceedings at the time ended with an agreement to restructure its debts, but that has proved only a temporary solution.
