Vienna police arrested a 21-year-old woman accused of threatening an employee of MA 11, the city’s child and youth welfare service, for several months, ORF reported Saturday. She was taken to a detention facility.

Police said the woman repeatedly waited outside the employee’s workplace, followed him and threatened him in text messages. On Saturday, she allegedly followed him after he left a government building and threatened to kill him.

Officers from the Rötzergasse police station arrested her after she tried to run away. She allegedly also threatened to kill the employee in front of police. Officers found a kitchen knife during a search after her arrest.

During questioning, the woman admitted to the allegations and said she blamed the employee for losing custody of her child. She was taken to a detention facility on the order of the Vienna public prosecutor’s office.
