Police seek witnesses after seriously injured man found in Innsbruck

A seriously injured man was found on Kranebitter Allee in Innsbruck early Saturday after saying he had been hit by a vehicle, ORF reported, citing police.

A 50-year-old taxi driver found the 55-year-old Bulgarian lying injured on the road near house number 90 at about 2:20 a.m. Emergency crews gave him first aid and took him to Innsbruck Clinic, a hospital.

The man told police an unidentified vehicle had struck him. Investigators said details of the incident were not yet available. Innsbruck’s traffic police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
