32-year-old man seriously injured in Markt Allhau crash

A 32-year-old man was seriously injured when his car left the road, overturned and crashed into an embankment in Markt Allhau in Oberwart district on Friday afternoon, ORF reported.

The driver veered off the B50 between Oberwart and Markt Allhau for reasons that remain unclear. An emergency medical helicopter flew him to the accident hospital in Graz.

Police, emergency medical services and the C16 rescue helicopter attended the crash. The volunteer fire brigade from Markt Allhau deployed 16 personnel to recover the badly damaged vehicle.

The affected section of the B50 was reopened at about 3.30 p.m.
