75-year-old driver crashes head-on into tree in Carinthia

A 75-year-old driver left the Keutschacher Landesstraße road in Carinthia on Saturday and crashed head-on into a tree, ORF reported. She and her 78-year-old husband were injured and taken to UKH Klagenfurt hospital.

The woman, from Wolfsberg district, was travelling from Klagenfurt towards Schiefling on the L97 shortly before 6pm. Her husband was also in the car.

For reasons that remain unknown, the vehicle veered off the road to the right before hitting the tree. Both occupants received initial medical treatment and were then taken to UKH Klagenfurt.
