Two men seriously injured in motorcycle crash in Keutschach

Two men were seriously injured in a crash in Keutschach on Thursday, ORF reported. A 53 year old man from Vienna is believed to have failed to see an oncoming motorcycle while turning left into a car park.

The car and the motorcycle, ridden by a 78 year old Dutch national, collided head on. Both men sustained serious injuries.

After receiving initial treatment, the motorcyclist was flown by the C11 rescue helicopter to Klagenfurt Hospital. The driver was also taken to the hospital.

Twenty five firefighters and five vehicles from the Keutschach am See and Reifnitz WSee volunteer fire brigades were involved in clearing the scene.
