Postbus crash involving three cars leaves several seriously injured

A Postbus and three other vehicles were involved in a serious crash near Mattsee in Salzburg on Monday, according to ORF. Two people are believed to have suffered serious injuries.

The accident happened at about 5 p.m. on the Mattsee state road between Mattsee in the Flachgau region and Palting in Upper Austria’s Braunau district. The bus was operating on route 120.

A rescue helicopter took the seriously injured people to hospital. The cause of the crash was not immediately known.

Emergency doctors, ambulance crews and firefighters from Mattsee, Mattighofen and Palting attended the scene. The fire services secured the crash site and began clearing the road.
