Tourist injured after rope swing into Rankweil quarry lake

ORF reported that a 20-year-old French tourist was injured after falling onto rocks while swinging into a quarry lake in Rankweil on Thursday.

The woman was using a rope attached to a tree when she let go too early and fell onto the rocks below.

She suffered head injuries and injuries to her lumbar spine. After receiving first aid, she was taken to the state hospital in Feldkirch.

Because of the steep terrain, the Rankweil fire brigade was also called to help recover her.
