Police found 34 alleged violations of driving and rest-time rules during a check of a 36-year-old Polish truck driver on the A10 motorway near Kellerberg in the Villach-Land district on Tuesday, ORF reported. Officers barred him from continuing his journey.

The driver is suspected of repeatedly removing his driver card from the tachograph between September 8 and November 3, 2026, while continuing to drive. Missing time records were allegedly entered into the system later as rest periods.

Police collected a security deposit of several thousand euros. Administrative reports will be sent to the Villach District Authority, and the driver will also be reported to the Klagenfurt public prosecutor’s office on suspicion of falsifying evidence.
