Intoxicated driver causes head-on crash near Villach, injuring two

Two drivers were slightly injured in a head-on collision on the B84 near Villach on Monday, ORF Kärnten reported. A 62-year-old driver, who was heavily intoxicated, crossed into the oncoming lane and hit a car driven by a 38-year-old man.

The 62-year-old was travelling from Faak towards Villach when he veered across the road for reasons that remain unknown. The impact triggered the front airbags in both cars.

Police found that the 62-year-old was heavily intoxicated and provisionally took his driving licence. Both vehicles sustained significant damage.
