HC TIWAG Innsbruck has dismissed head coach Ryan Kinasewich and assistant coach Florian Pedevilla after a run of poor results, ORF reported Monday.

The club said its decision followed a “sporting downturn in recent weeks.” General manager Günther Hanschitz said the coaches had shown commitment and passion to the team, but the club had a responsibility to respond to its recent performance.

The announcement came a day after Innsbruck lost 2-1 to HC Pustertal, surrendering a 1-0 lead in the third period. It was the team’s seventh consecutive competitive defeat. Its last win came in mid-October, also against Pustertal.

The club said it was working on a replacement and planned to announce new sporting leadership in the coming days.
