Salzburg reopens grants for apartment buyers
Salzburg will reopen grants for people buying owner-occupied apartments on November 2, with 21 million euros allocated to support up to 100 homes, ORF reports.
Grant amounts vary by household. Single people and couples without children can apply for up to 44,000 euros. Households of three or four people, as well as growing families without children, can receive up to 54,000 euros. Young families, single parents and households of five or more can apply for up to 64,000 euros, while large families qualify for the highest grant of 72,000 euros.
Regional councillor Martin Zauner of the Freedom Party of Austria said the programme was intended to support home ownership, strengthen the local economy and stimulate the construction industry.
Applications can be submitted from Monday through the funding assistant on the state government’s website. The grant regulation was published on October 29.
