A 37-year-old man from Linz is accused of buying and selling large quantities of drugs between 2020 and 2026, including more than 12 kilograms in total, ORF Upper Austria reported Monday. He was arrested in June along with his 20-year-old girlfriend.

Police say the man bought at least 7.7 kilograms of cannabis, about 600 grams of cocaine and around 200 ecstasy tablets in 2020 and 2021 for resale. He has admitted buying at least another 300 grams of cocaine in 2022 from the same source, but denies intending to sell it.

Investigators also suspect that the man and his girlfriend ordered drugs on the darknet from April to June 2026 and had them delivered from abroad to her address in Linz. Police said the drugs included at least four kilograms of amphetamine, more than 1.6 kilograms of methamphetamine and 290 grams of ketamine. Most were allegedly sold at a profit to people in Linz, including young people.

The drugs were advertised on social media, sometimes with photos and videos. A search of the couple’s home uncovered, among other items, 100 grams of amphetamine in a freezer, about 40 grams of ketamine and several ampoules of steroids.

The man is also accused of supplying a 22-year-old Linz woman with more than 1.45 kilograms of methamphetamine, 200 grams of amphetamine and around 100 grams of ketamine in 2025. She allegedly sold some of the drugs in Linz.

The man is in pretrial detention. The two women remain at liberty, police said.
