Hallein tourism officials dispute audit over town festival
Officials at Hallein’s tourism association are challenging a municipal audit report that criticised the organisation of this year’s town festival, ORF reported.
A letter from the association’s lawyers, seen by ORF, says it is incorrect to claim that association funds paid for a large party costing 12,000 euros.
The letter also questions why Hallein’s city audit committee called for the Austrian Health Insurance Fund to examine the association. The requested review apparently concerns social insurance contributions.
