Riedlsperger elected to lead NEOS youth wing

Susanna Riedlsperger, a NEOS member of the Tyrol state parliament, was elected federal chair of JUNOS, the party’s youth organisation, on Friday evening, ORF reported. She succeeds Sophie Wotschke, a member of Austria’s National Council.

NEOS Secretary-General Douglas Hoyos said the 25-year-old had already worked in the state parliament and as deputy state chair of NEOS in Tyrol to push for reforms needed by young people.

Birgit Obermüller, NEOS’s state spokesperson in Tyrol, said JUNOS had gained a qualified and reliable new leader. She added that she was proud Tyrol would be well represented in the youth organisation.
