Passenger dies after car crashes into trees in Ebensee

A 29-year-old passenger died when a car left the road and hit two trees in Ebensee, in Gmunden district, on Wednesday evening, ORF reported.

The car was travelling east on the Offenseestraße, also known as the L1296, at about 8.30pm when it left the road on a right-hand bend. The passenger, a Serbian national from Gmunden district, died at the scene, police said.

The 21-year-old driver, also from Gmunden district, was injured and taken to Bad Ischl State Hospital.
