Traun city police helped save an 83-year-old woman after she collapsed in the street in Traun, in the Linz-Land district, ORF reported.
A foot patrol was first to reach the woman, who had suffered a bleeding injury to the back of her head. She was still breathing, and a district police inspector placed her in the recovery position and called for backup.
Her condition then worsened and she stopped breathing. Two city police officers began chest compressions while ambulance staff provided ventilation and used a defibrillator. After prolonged resuscitation, the woman was stabilised and taken to hospital.
