An 11-year-old boy was seriously injured in a collision with a car in Graz on Tuesday afternoon, ORF reported. He lost control of his scooter on a steep road in the Waltendorf district.
Initial findings indicate the boy was riding downhill on a municipal road at about 3.30pm when he was unable to brake in time. At an intersection with Rudolfstrasse, he collided with the right side of a car.
The boy was wearing a helmet and was taken to the children’s surgery department at LKH Graz. Police said the 67-year-old driver was not under the influence of alcohol.
