Technical failures disrupt some banks in Tyrol

Technical problems affected several banks in Tyrol from Tuesday afternoon, leaving some customers unable to use online banking and mobile apps and causing intermittent problems with card payments and cash withdrawals, ORF reported.

Hypo Tirol Bank said the disruption was caused by a technical fault at its IT service provider. Some services were unavailable or restricted, and the bank said it was working urgently to resolve the issue.

Volksbank Tirol was also affected and attributed the problems to a power outage.

At the end of 2022, the Volksbank group, Hypo Tirol Bank and several smaller partners sold their shares in the Allgemeines Rechenzentrum to Accenture or one of its subsidiaries.
