Sunday 4th October 2026 on 18:30 in Austria

Müselbach, road accident, Vorarlberg

A 61-year-old driver was injured when his car and a loaded trailer left the L 200 between Egg and Müselbach on Sunday afternoon, ORF reported. He was taken to Dornbirn Hospital.

The driver was travelling from Egg towards Müselbach at about 2.30pm when the car veered off the road to the right. He lost control, and the vehicle went down a steep slope before stopping in a nearby wooded area.

The trailer detached during the crash, was thrown through the woods and landed on a lower property, causing damage to the land. Both the car and trailer were also damaged.

The driver suffered a laceration to his head. Police said an alcohol test at the scene was positive.

Firefighters from Müselbach attended with two vehicles and 20 personnel, alongside the Egg ambulance service, the C8 emergency medical helicopter, a first responder and federal police.
